Mission Statement

SHIP works to provide thought leadership on solutions to end homelessness and to build equity opportunities in the fight towards housing justice. We collaborate to help give purpose and meaning to people experiencing homelessness in the Twin Cities. We believe that our voices are more powerful when they are together.

Through collaboration, we amplify our voices, recognizing that the symphony of our diverse perspectives enriches our advocacy. Each shared story of hardship becomes a catalyst for action, influencing policy and reshaping perceptions around homelessness. Our shared mission is grounded in empathy, understanding that the path to housing justice is not merely a goal, but a moral imperative.

As we work tirelessly to avert the pain of homelessness for others, we simultaneously empower ourselves. This duality of purpose enhances our resilience and strengthens our resolve. Together, we are not just addressing an urgent crisis; we are crafting a future where equitable housing is a fundamental right, ensuring that every individual has a place to call home.
